Krave Beauty Products: Simplify Your Skincare Routine

Kandor Living Krave Beauty Products

Krave Beauty is a Korean Skincare brand created in 2017 by beauty and skincare influencer Liah Yoo. This skincare brand is perfect for anyone who is constantly overwhelmed trying endless products that overpromise, yet fail to give us desired results. The brand’s motto, #PressReset, is all about cutting out the ineffective multi-step routines and instead, listening to what our skin needs and practicing intentional and sustainable skincare.

One of my favorite things about Krave Beauty is its small product range and how less is more. Rather than producing countless products, Krave Beauty has perfected its minimal skincare range – look at their shop page! Their products are formulated with simple skincare ingredients without using dyes, fragrances, essential oils, and animal byproducts. I love how each product has a hero color to help users differentiate between products.

Overall, Krave Beauty aims to empower individuals to create a simple and sustainable skincare routine that prioritizes the skin’s needs rather than promoting quick fixes and unnecessary steps. Below are my favorite products I have purchased and will continue to repurchase.

Makeup Re-Wined

Makeup Re-Wined

Incorporating a pre-cleanser in your skincare routine is essential. If you’re not using a cleansing oil or a cleansing balm and you’re struggling with breakouts, make it your mission to find one that works for you! Pre-cleansers help to remove makeup, sunscreen, dirt, dead skin cells, and excess sebum (oil) from the skin’s surface. One of the worst things while doing your skincare is noticing some remaining foundation or mascara on your towel that your cleanser missed.

If you’re on the hunt for a pre-cleanser, look no further! The Makeup Re-Wined cleansing oil has become one of my favorite pre-cleaners for the last few years and I will continue repurchase to this. I was hesitant to try this since I am not a huge fan of cleansing oils and prefer using a cleansing balm. However, this pre-cleanser isn’t runny like a cleansing oil but more like a jelly oil. It is super lightweight and gentle on the skin, yet does a great job of removing all that build-up. This product usually lasts me about four months. I find that I get my money’s worth considering the size of the bottle and that I pre-cleanse every night (I’m an avid sunscreen user).

Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser

Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser

While finding the right cleanser for your skin type is important, a cleanser should serve one purpose – to cleanse the skin without being overly stripping. I am usually hesitant to try new cleansers simply because my favorite cleanser, the Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser,  is a super affordable and accessible product. It’s only $9 and you can order it from Amazon or your local Target. However, I decided to try the Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser since I already had a great experience with Krave Beauty and it has mostly positive reviews. Plus, the price point is not too bad.

The first time I used this cleanser, I was in love! I began to look forward to cleansing my skin because of how much I enjoyed this product. The texture is slippery, jelly-like, and has a lovely matcha scent. It cleanses gently, yet thoroughly, and lathers well. I love that this cleanser lathers enough for me to get that “clean” feeling. The matcha and hemp seed oil in this cleanser helps restore antioxidants and hydration to your skin. The only thing I don’t like about this cleanser is that I am only able to use this cleanser once a day. I find that if I use this product twice a day, my skin becomes more dry. I was not expecting this mainly because I noticed this cleanser had great reviews from users with dry skin. Keep in mind, I have dry sensitive skin. Therefore, if you are using this product, I would recommend a nice moisturizer that will give you that extra hydration so your skin isn’t stripped or becomes dehydrated.

Moreover, if you’re looking for the ultimate cleansing experience, you can purchase the Cleansing Power Couple Bundle, which includes the Makeup Re-Wined cleansing oil and the Matcha cleanser. I have repurchased this cleanser multiple times and will continue to do so any time I place a Krave Beauty order. It typically takes me about two months to go through this product (remember I only use this cleanser once a day).

Krave Beauty Kale-Lalu-yAHA

Krave Beauty Kale-Lalu-yAHA

Kale-Lalu-Yaha

I made the mistake of over-exfoliating my skin for years without knowing the damage it was doing to my skin. Yes, I was fooled by the Dermaoligica Daily Microfoliant and countless other exfoliants, thinking it would improve my skin texture and help clear my acne. Instead, my acne got worse with time and my skin became more sensitive to other products. When I learned how bad over-exfoliating was, I eliminated exfoliating from my skincare routine. After doing some research, I found out that I could exfoliate gently by using the right product based on my skin type. I heard Hyram rave about the Kale-Lalu-yAHA and how amazing this exfoliator is. When I saw the packaging of this product and how it looked like a pretty green juice, I found every reason to justify purchasing this product!

This exfoliator includes leafy ingredients including kale, spinach, and parsley extract, as well as aloe leaf water, 5.25% glycolic acid, and more! Its natural ingredients give it a beautiful green color and the texture is super watery. I started using this product the same time I used the Great Barrier Relief Serum and this was the start of my skin’s transformation. This exfoliator is super lightweight, gentle, and hydrating and gives my skin a subtle glow. The Kale-Lalu-yAHA is very effective for getting rid of dead skin cells and dark spots.

I always wake up after using this product the night before thinking, “What happened to my pores?” My skin will wake up looking refreshed and rejuvenated! Unlike other exfoliants, I didn’t notice any stinging or irritations while using this product. Remember, it is important to pay attention to your skin’s response to help determine how often you apply this product. Krave’s website states that they recommend using this two to three times a week. Because I have dry skin, I only need to use this once a week, but I am still able to get the results I want. I also like leaving room to try other ingredients on different days.

Tip: I used to use this exfoliator and the Great Barrier Relief Serum on the same night. I found that I would break out slightly less by using them on different days. You only need a small amount and depending on how much you use it, this can last a very long time – it took me a whole year to finish this product. The Kale-Lalu-yAHA is my favorite exfoliator compared to others I have tried and I will continue to repurchase this.

Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief

Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief

Great Barrier Relief

If I had to pick one product that has transformed my skin, this would be it. The Great Barrier Relief Serum is my favorite product in the Krave Beauty line and will forever be a staple in my skincare.

For years, I have searched tirelessly for a product to give me results like this serum. As a teenager, I never experienced acne and remember always having clear, smooth skin. So, when I started experiencing adult acne, I wasn’t sure what to do. I never changed my makeup routine, I didn’t stop washing my brushes, I didn’t change my skincare routine (my skincare only consisted of a face wash), and I didn’t change my diet. I stopped using certain beauty products, doing trial and error to see if I could pinpoint what it was that was causing me to break out so much. It became frustrating to have to worry about acne – something I have never dealt with before. There were many times when my acne breakouts would take such a toll on my confidence. I remember some flare-ups were so bad that I would cancel plans and lock myself in my room because I felt too embarrassed and unattractive to be seen.

When I was looking for the perfect skincare routine, I noticed Hyram would constantly rave about this serum and included it in his favorites videos. The serum sounded promising and had a lot of positive reviews. The Krave Beauty website states that this serum helps to restore damaged skin and soothe irritation without leaving that “greasy” feeling – which was exactly what I was looking for. I’ve never been a fan of serums because no matter how little I would put, I would always get that greasy and sticky feeling.

The Great Barrier Relief Serum consists of ingredients like tamanu oil (helps with irritation and redness), niacinamide (combats discoloration and helps brighten the skin), and ceramides (helps store your skin barrier while keeping it hydrated and plump).

I started using this product once a week (at night) and then built my way up, as I do with most products. I noticed every time I would use this, I would wake up the next morning with my skin looking refreshed and my acne scars fading away. I eventually incorporated this as part of my daily nightly routine (one pump is all I need) and I have not been able to find a serum that gives me the same results. After two years of using this product, my skin has become smoother, and less irritated, and my scarring has significantly decreased. I will still experience an occasional breakout – but nothing crazy that I can’t cover with a little concealer or where I get self-conscious to leave my home.

If you’ve been wanting to try this serum, do it! The Great Barrier Relief Serum has given long-term results and helped restore my skin’s barrier. It takes me about five months to finish the product – considering this serum is $28, I feel I get my money’s worth. If you have normal or dry skin, you can get away with using this twice daily. I like to use only a moisturizer and sunscreen in the morning to avoid product buildup and feeling greasy all day. If you have oily skin, I would still recommend this product, just maybe using half a pump.

krave beauty: The Verdict

To sum it all up, I love Krave Beauty – it has become one of my favorite skincare brands. Thank you to Liah Yoo for creating a nice product range at affordable prices. I am happy with the results Krave Beauty has given me and I will continue repurchasing all the items above again. I love the quality, the brand’s messaging, and their branding is chef’s kiss! I appreciate how much Krave is doing to educate customers on their products and their commitment to finding long-term solutions towards sustainability.

If you’re interested in trying Krave Beauty, I recommend doing research and understanding your skin type like I did. I spent some time reading reviews (mostly from users with similar skin types and concerns) and watching a lot of Dermatologists’ reviews on Krave Beauty. There is no quick fix when it comes to treating your skin. Remember to get to know your skin type, visit your local dermatologist, and always do a patch test!
