Byredo is a luxury brand based out of Sweden known for its candles, perfumes, and other scented products that scream elegance and sophistication. Due to its rich black wax and the aesthetic jar, the presentation of this candle is chef’s kiss! Byredo carries a wide range of distinctive and unique scents – I guarantee that there is s candle for everyone from this brand. My favorite is Biblotèque, which translates to library in French. As the name suggests, this candle was created to evoke the sense of walking through a traditional library. I do not get that vibe when I smell this candle. It could be because of the black wax that reminds me of a nice charcoal mask, but I get more of a geothermal spa vibe filled with the earth’s natural, rich minerals. I love how strong the scent of this candle is but not too strong where it becomes overpowering and unbearable. Byredo candles are super minimalistic and visually appealing and they also serve as a quality decor piece in your home. This is the most expensive candle I own. However, this is also the highest quality candle I own. It lasts for a long time and smells irresistible.
APOTHEKE White Vetiver
I discovered this candle at a Crate & Barrel store and was immediately drawn to the packaging. My favorite part of this unboxing experience is before you can take the candle out, there is an inner flap that reads “You are going to love me.” And they weren’t wrong! White Vetiver comes in a beautiful, minimalistic, frosted glass vessel that can serve as a nice decor piece in any room. This candle has a chic, sultry scent that fills the entire room and screams romance – but in a subtle way! Even when the candle isn’t lit, you can smell the fragrance. If you are looking to purchase your first luxury candle, I highly recommend the White Vetiver Classic Scented Candle from APOTHEKE – especially if you love sandalwood. I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t like this candle and I always get compliments whenever I light up this candle at home.

When I die, bury me inside Le Labo store! If you have never been to a Le Labo store, I highly recommend visiting one. As I mentioned before, my love for luxury candles started with Le Labo. The ambiance of Le Labo is unmatched compared to every other fragrance store. The scenery of a Le Labo store makes you feel like you’re walking in a 1900s perfumery, yet it still has a modern, avant-garde vibe to it. Le Labo offers visitors a custom, unique service where they can have their fragrances and candles personalized with a label attached that includes your name, the city where it was made, and the date it was prepared. I am obsessed with the Santal 26 Classic Candle. It is a warm blend of sandalwood, amber, leather, and musk. This candle screams, sophisticated, sexy, and intoxicating. If you’re into warm, sweet vanilla scents, I highly recommend purchasing this candle. By the Fireplace is truly a masterpiece that consists of a blend of vanilla, chestnut, and a woody scent. Out of all my favorite candles, this one emits the strongest scent in my home without lighting it. I will be in my bedroom and can smell this candle from the other side of my apartment. Yet, it’s not strong in an overwhelming way. The wax on this candle reminds me of a pretty crème brûlée color that makes me want to eat this candle (kidding, of course)! This is the perfect candle to cozy up during the cold, winter months and makes a nice holiday candle. But because I love it so much, I use this all year round! I notice my boyfriend goes for this candle out of all the candles we have – I can tell it’s his favorite!
